Week after week we enjoy playing free trivia at bars…and now it’s our turn to give back!

This holiday season we are bringing back the Cans for Points promotion at all bars that would like to participate. This is where teams can get extra starting points for bringing canned food items that are donated to local area food banks.

There are many in your area who will be in need this holiday season. While helping out is its own reward, we're offering a nice incentive to bring canned food items to participating venues.

The bar that collects the most food in weight (by sending us a receipt from the food bank) will win the opportunity to send one team to World Tavern Trivia Nationals where they could win their share of $10,000 in cash.

PLEASE HELP! Here’s how it works.

Bring in 3 canned goods per team to any participating World Tavern Trivia game from December 1st thru 30th and get an extra 30 points. Not only will this give you a nice advantage, it will also be a wonderful thing to do during the holiday season.

Here’s what we need:

-- One player/big brain/bar owner from each location to head up the collection and to ensure the cans are delivered to your local food banks.

-- Simply send an e-mail to NancyM@WorldTavernEntertainment.com with your name and the name of your bar if you would like to participate.

-- Contact your local food bank and get the details on drop off times, etc. Click here for a link to search for a food bank in your area.

-- We will post a list of participating bars on this page, but also be sure to check with your Big Brain to see if they are participating.

-- Take a photo of all of the food collected, plus a copy of the receipt from your Food Bank, to NancyM@WorldTavernEntertainment.com by midnight on December 30th.

The winning bar will host a Cans for Points trivia game no later than February 2017.
